Product Description
This Top Load Washer Water Inlet Valve allows hot water to fill in the washer during the cleaning cycle. If your washer isnt getting any hot water, filling slowly, not filling at all, or leaking hot water onto the floor, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. This part attaches the water lines to the back of your appliance. The attaching solenoids on the valve open and close according to the desired temperature, or amount of water needed. Recommended Item: Consider replacing the Fill Hose (item 8212487RP) at the same time as this repair. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. We also recommend using affresh?« Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh?« brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
