If this switch fails, you may notice that the incorrect temperature of water (too cold or too hot) is filling into the wash tub. Note that this part does not include the temperature switch knob, but you can purchase it separately. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
