The SxS Refrigerator Start Device Relay with Overload is mounted to the side of the compressor on the back of the refrigerator and causes the compressor to start when refrigeration is needed. If your refrigerator is not cold, or you hear humming or clicking noises coming from the back of the appliance, the start device relay may need to be replaced. Kit includes PTC start device, overload, electrical cover, jumper wire and instructions. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools. Please remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
