This Top Load Washer Drive Motor includes the motor and the wiring harness adapter. The drive motor has two shafts - one shaft drives the pump, and the other shaft drives the transmission. The motor causes your washer to spin, agitate, and drain properly during the washing cycle. If your washer no longer spins or agitates, the motor may be worn out or damaged and should be replaced. This motor is a single speed motor (120 volt). When accessing the old motor, be sure to remove the ground wire and the base from it so you can transfer these to the new motor before installing. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this item. Also be sure to turn off the hot and cold water supplies to your washer.
