Product Description
The Washer Tub Ring snaps over the top of the tub and creates a splash shield. If your washer's tub ring is cracked or damaged, your washer may become unbalanced and shake, and you may need to replace this part. A damaged wing may also cause the washer to jam by allowing clothing to get between the two tubs. To access the tub ring, tape the washer lid down and remove the top two hinge screws at the back of the appliance that secure the top hinges to the rear panel. Remove the screws to the wiring and hinge cover and remove the cover. Then pull the main top forward and up to access the inside tub. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off your washer's hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh?« Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh?« brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
