Product Description
This Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve Assembly is located behind the access panel at the bottom of your dishwasher and lets the water flow into the appliance during use. If your dishwasher isn't getting any water, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. If your dishwasher has a solid copper fill line, you'll want to disconnect the water line before pulling the old valve out. If you have the flexible fill line, you can remove the old valve before disconnecting the water line. Be sure to clean out the threads and add new pipe dope to the brass fitting connected to the old valve before transferring it to the new valve. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh?« Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10282479) once a month or as needed, to help remove limescale and mineral buildup that can affect your dishwasher's performance. *affresh?« brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
