Product Description
The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve allows the appliance to fill with water and complete the cleaning cycle. If your dishwasher won't fill properly or overflows and leaks water on the floor, then the water valve may be restricted or damaged and will need replacement. Note that if the dishwasher is underfilling, it will most likely exhibit poor wash performance. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the water supply before you begin. Required Accessory: You will need to reuse the brass fitting from the existing part with the new valve or purchase a new one (item W10685193) if the old one doesnt fit; use pipe joint compound to securely attach the fitting to the new part. Recommended Item: The Dishwasher Drain Pan (item 1021760) slides underneath the appliance and diverts any water leak to the front of the dishwasher.
