This Top Load Washer Basket Drive Hub Kit connects the spin basket to the spin shaft that spins the basket. To access the part, you'll first need to remove the agitator or the impeller depending on your washer model. Then remove the screws holding in the old drive hub and the drive hub. This kit includes one old style drive hub and one new style drive hub. The correct hub to use depends on your washer model. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off your hot and cold water supplies.
