The Dishwasher Thermal Fuse Kit includes (1) fuse assembly, (2) zip tie and installation instructions. The thermal fuse is located in the control panel of the dishwasher and shuts off the heating element if the appliance overheats. If the thermal fuse fails, the dishwasher won't start. Note that for safety reasons, when installing this part you must also replace the included wire harness. Replacing this the thermal fuse assembly will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Note that if the thermal fuse in your appliance has failed, you should first investigate the issue that caused the dishwasher to overheat before beginning this repair.
