This Range Bake Element keeps your oven heating properly. The element is fastened into the back of the oven by two phillips screws. The main reason for replacing the heating element is if it has shorted out and is no longer heating the oven sufficiently. When removing the old element and disconnecting the wires, make sure you don't allow the wires to fall back into the oven wall. This bake element measures 16-5/8" wide x 15-3/4" long and has 3" terminals to the mounting bracket with 1-3/4" between terminals. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
