Product Description
The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve allows the appliance to fill with water and complete the cleaning cycle. If your dishwasher won't fill properly or overflows and leaks water on the floor, then the water valve may be restricted or damaged and will need replacement. Note that if the dishwasher is underfilling, it will most likely exhibit poor wash performance. This 7-watt, 120-volt coil, 3/8" brass inlet water valve includes the mounting bracket. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the water supply to your dishwasher before you begin. Note that you will need to reuse the brass fitting from the existing part with the new valve; use pipe joint compound to securely attach it to the new part. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh?« Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10282479) to help remove limescale and mineral build-up that can be unsightly and affect your dishwashers performance. *affresh?« brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
