This Dishwasher Spray Arm Retainer Nut is a retainer nut for the spray arm of your dishwasher, and it is what holds the lower spray arm onto the pump. If it has been damaged, and no longer holds the spray arm to the pump, you may need to replace this part. To access the part, remove the lower rack out of the dishwasher and unscrew the old spray arm retainer nut counter clockwise to remove. Install the new retainer nut by securing it clockwise. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the appliance and no repair experience. Remember to unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. You must also turn off the water supply underneath the sink before installation.
