This Trash Compactor On/Off Switch also known as the rotary or start switch, controls the electrical power that reaches the appliance. If your trash compactor??ås current switch is broken or malfunctioning, you can replace it with this part. Note that a multimeter can be used to test the current switch for continuity before you replace the part. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some some disassembly of the compactor and novice repair experience.
