Product Description
The Dryer Thermistor is located on the blower housing next to the thermal fuse. Note that this thermistor should read approximately 10K ohms of resistance at 70 degrees F. If your appliance's drying cycle is too long or too short, or if your appliance is displaying a fault code, the thermistor may be defective and should be replaced. Note that a defective thermistor will not prevent a dryer from heating at all. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
