If the timer isnt advancing like it should or triggering your freezer to enter defrost mode, replacing it may alleviate these issues. Turn the dial on the timer clockwise to advance it into and out of defrost. Note that this part does not include the defrost timer knob. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.
