This Electric Range Radiant Surface Element is a 1800 watt element that supplies the heat to a cooking area on top of your flat range. If your stove's burner no longer heats up, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Note that a multi-meter can be used to quickly and safely determine if a surface element is no longer functioning properly. Elements are sold separately. To access the part, remove the screws that hold down the flat top and lift it off of the range. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this item. Helpful Tip: Snap a picture of how the wires are arranged underneath the flat top for future reference.
