Instruction sheet included. If the gear is worn out or damaged, the trash compactor will make a loud sound and no longer operate correctly. When placing the compactor on its side, be sure to protect your flooring. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the trash compactor and novice repair experience. You must unplug the compactor or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
